On those bright yet cooler days, the daylilies in my garden turn a warm, glowing orange. This is the perfect time to harvest and dry them; their natural fibre becomes silky and smooth, a soft reminder of those crisp but luminous autumn days.
A ribbon of warm-toned daylily leaves has been carefully woven into the base and around the sides of the basket, creating a rich contrast with the cool green of Iris sibirica leaves. The textures blend like autumn colours layered across a landscape.
Set neatly inside the willow bark border is a ring of hand-twisted cordage, woven from gently browning daylily leaves. This subtle detail adds depth, warmth and a sense of organic rhythm that echoes the season’s slow, graceful shift.
