A bark container cut from one piece of willow bark when the bark is soft is then  folded and sewn together with waxed linen thread. A strip of bark is sewn around the top edge on both the inside and outside to form the basket border. As the bark dries it hardens to form a sturdy container showing all the rich bark texture on the outer shell.
