This oval shaped basket has been carefully woven by hand. The shape is entirely formed using daylily and iris sibirica leaves, grown in my suburban garden. The front has a small strand of flowering grass woven in to add a soft detail. The basket rim has been finished with a ring of willow bark, hand sewn in place using waxed lined thread. 
 
This basket is completely natural and so you can expect the soft natural fibre colours to continue to softly mellow and fade over time.
