The Mere Compact offers the same distinctive character as the original Mere design in a smaller, easy-to-carry size. 
 
Handwoven in English bulrush (Scirpus lacustris)  cut by Anita from the water using a sickle in the traditional skilled way. The Mere Compact offers the same combination of heritage techniques and timeless style.
 
Lightweight and surprisingly practical, the Mere Compact comfortably carries everyday essentials such as a phone, purse, keys, sunglasses, and a small notebook. The distinctive woven texture, braided handles, and subtle variations in the bulrush fibres make each piece uniquely individual.
 
As each handbag is individually handmade using natural bulrush and skilled craftsmanship, slight variations in colour and weave are part of its unique character.
