Handcrafted Natural Dyed Raffia & Iris Leaf Basket | Natural Hand-Dyed Fibre Summer Home Décor
Celebrate the vibrant energy of summer with this handcrafted basket from my Seasons’ Collection. Inspired by long bright days, warm breezes and the abundance of colour that fills the season, this piece captures the playful richness and vitality of summertime.
Product Description
Summer bursts with life—hazy warmth, vivid colours and fragrant air. As fruits ripen, their deep reds and purples offer the perfect natural dyes. Using homegrown damsons, I have hand-dyed palm raffia to create a radiant, berry-toned fibre that brings a lively summer “zing” to this small yet practical basket.
A striking line of this naturally dyed damson-raffia has been woven with care into the base and around the sides, where its colour contrasts beautifully with the cool green of Iris sibirica leaves. The combination mirrors the bold, juicy shades of high summer.
Neatly held within the willow bark border is a circular ring of damson-dyed raffia cordage, hand-twisted and woven to add texture, brightness and artisanal charm.
