Seasons' Collection
Four small baskets representing the Seasons. Each contrasting in colour with the green iris sibirica leaves. The sharp white of Winter is handwoven in sweetcorn husk. This mellows into the brightness of Spring where daffodil leaves are woven in. A bold brash pink illuminates Summer with raffia palm, hand dyed with damsons is twined in. Finally colours fade with Autumn using golden daylily leaves. All have a handsewn rim of willow bark and waxed thread.
Daffodil Plait collection
A unique style where each basket is lined with single sheets of willow bark. Fading green iris sibirica leaves are handwoven around bark strips to create the body of each basket. The gem of these pieces is the 5 strand plaits of silky yellow daffodil leaves. The daffodil leaves are plaited into long thin strips before being added into the weave. A final plait completes the rim, sandwiched between willow bark lengths, hand sewn into place with fine golden wire.
